“Theatre is a form of knowledge; it should and can also be a means of transforming society.
Theatre can help us build our future, rather than just waiting for it.”
Normally at this time of year we would be gearing up for our Valentine’s Cabaret in collaboration with the Mahone Bay Centre. We look forward to resuming that live event in 2022. This year we are still sharing the love… with a twist! A Little Bit of Love: from our home to yours is our gift to you this Valentine season. Enjoy a poem and a song offered by some of our familiar faces. Click Here!
We are continuing online workshops on Zoom, exploring a wonderful variety of aspects of theatre. If there is a specific topic you would like to see offered, please let me know. Workshops are limited to 8 participants so that everyone can participate fully. Kudos to Sherry Smith and Teresa Patterson who have joined me as instructors for some of our workshops.
South Shore Players is a volunteer-run non-profit organization. In most years we depend on ticket sales to keep us afloat. Over this past year we have relied more on your support, to ensure that community theatre will continue in beautiful Lunenburg County. Our 2021 Annual Fund continues until March 31. All contributions made, past or future, are greatly appreciated.
The Board of Directors continues to monitor the situation with the pandemic: making plans, changing plans, encouraging plans, to keep us all safe and entertained!
